The future prosperity of the UK economy is dependent upon young people taking up engineering as a career and that manufacturing companies have the right skills in place to expand our manufacturing base in the UK.
Companies often remark on the lack of quality young people entering the industry and their concerns at the UK’s lack of future skills. The Tooling Trust, is actively trying to address this situation, but we need to do more to assist the UK’s manufacturing sector to develop and prosper in today’s global economy. The Trust is constantly seeking other methods of supporting the industry in order to assist in the preservation and development of the UK’s manufacturing base.
in January 2015 the TTT supported the launch of CNC precision machining courses for the tool making industry. To find out more about these courses please contact us on 0121 392 8999
The Trustees hope that companies will support this initiative by profiling their companies on a new Reshoring UK database of Tooling companies ( www.reshoringuk.co.uk ) to be launched in the coming months to promote the size and capacity of the Tool Making industry in the UK to manufacturers. This will be If your company agrees to the registration of your company name and address to be included on this register as this will be free of charge. To profile your company on the site there will be a charge, this revenue will provide a contribution to support suitable training courses for the industry.
Please support this TTT initiative to grow the funds of the Charity to continue the Trustees contribution to training courses to support the future of our industry.
